Cleveland Model & Supply Company, Inc. - Model Airplane Plans
Cleveland Model & Supply Company, the oldest, continuously-operating model airplane plan company in the world, was founded in 1926 by Edward T. Pachasa (later Packard). Mr. Packard started the business with his four brothers, his mother and father in their residence and a converted barn near West 57th Street and Bridge Avenue, on the west side of Cleveland Ohio.
1903: Wilbur and Orville Wright made the world's first, powered, sustained, controlled, heavier-than-air flight. The flight was made at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, U. S. A.
1925: Colonel "Billy" Mitchell was found guilty for discrediting United States Army aviation.
1935: First flight of the Douglas DC-3 tranpsort aircraft.
1947: First flight of the Boeing B-47, jet-powered bomber.
1948: After residing for 20 years in the British Museum of Science in London, England, the original "Wright Flyer" is returned to the United States.
